These terms are the agreement between you and us for using GroupWisdom. Using the service means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use it.
Who you are agreeing with. GroupWisdom is operated by Prem Acharya of 1895 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, California ("we", "us"). Contact: groupwisdomsupport@gmail.com.
GroupWisdom is in beta. It may change substantially, be interrupted, or stop being offered, and section 8 applies with that in mind.
GroupWisdom reads what a group has shared, through our API or a connected Buzz community, and returns machine-generated findings we call wisdom. It is a software tool that produces suggestions from text. It is not a person, an adviser, or a decision-maker.
This is the most important obligation in these terms. Connecting a community sends other people's messages to us and to our model provider. Those people are not our customers and may have no idea it is happening.
By connecting a community, or by sending content through the API, you represent and warrant that:
You are the controller of that content. We process it on your instructions. If someone raises a claim about content you connected, section 9 applies.

Wisdom is produced by an AI model. It can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, misattributed, or simply wrong. It may state something with confidence that is false. It may attribute a finding, a number or an opinion to the wrong person. It may miss what mattered most, and it stays silent far more often than it speaks.
It is not professional advice of any kind: not legal, financial, medical, tax, employment or safety advice. Verify anything before you rely on it, especially anything attributed to a named person and any number.
You are solely responsible for any decision you or your group make, whether or not it was influenced by output from this service.
GroupWisdom is early-stage software offered without any uptime commitment. We may change, suspend, limit or discontinue any part of it, including free usage allowances, at any time. We may impose or adjust limits on analysis volume and spend. Features may break, behaviour may change between releases, and we may stop the service entirely on reasonable notice.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you would not want to lose. Do not use this service as your only record of anything important.
The service depends on others, including our model, hosting and authentication providers, and on the Buzz relay operator for any community you connect. We do not control them and are not responsible for their acts, omissions, outages, pricing, terms or security. Your use of Buzz is governed by whatever terms apply between you and its operator.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free, that any defect will be corrected, or that output will be accurate, complete, useful or suitable for any purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, DATA OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT SUCH LOSS WAS POSSIBLE.
This applies to any claim arising out of or relating to the service, including claims based on:
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN ANY 12-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
These limits apply regardless of the legal theory, whether contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, and survive any failure of an essential purpose of a limited remedy. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You will defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to: content you sent or connected; your breach of these terms, in particular section 3; your violation of any law or of anyone's rights; or any decision made using output from the service.
You keep all rights in the content you send. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit and display that content, and to create derived summaries and wisdom from it, solely to provide and secure the service. That licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained in backups until they age out.
We do not use your content to train models. We keep all rights in the service, its software, and its documentation.
The service is currently offered without charge, subject to usage limits we may set or change. Nothing here obliges us to keep it free. If we introduce fees, we will give notice and you may stop using it.
You may stop at any time by disconnecting your communities and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, including for breach of these terms, risk to the service or others, or because we discontinue the service. On termination your right to use it ends, and sections 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 15 survive.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be notified through the service or by email. Continuing to use GroupWisdom after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. The courts of Santa Clara County, California have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and we consent to that venue. Any claim must be brought within one year of the events giving rise to it, to the extent the law allows.
If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that provision is limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce something is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the service.
